24-7 Hotel Management is hiring a House Person to help keep the property spotless and elevate the guest experience every day. This onsite role in Murfreesboro, TN offers USD 11 - 14 per hour, along with training, competitive pay, and a workplace built around guest satisfaction, teamwork, and an open-door approach.
What you’ll do
You will provide excellent customer service to all guests, supporting brand standards with a focus on satisfaction. Cleanliness is a major part of the role, including both guest rooms and common areas, so the hotel feels welcoming from arrival through checkout.
- Complete all brand required training and Safety & Health training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment across the property.
- Clean guest rooms and high-traffic areas including hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Follow recommended safe handling instructions using chemicals as outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
- Support room readiness by moving or arranging furniture, dusting and polishing furniture, metalwork, and equipment.
- Clean floors and surfaces using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Collect soiled linens for laundering, deliver to the laundry room, and store clean linen supplies in the linen closet.
- Refresh bathrooms by cleaning and replenishing supplies.
- Refurnish guest rooms with supplies, towels, and other items as required; restock the cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift.
- Wash walls, ceilings, windows, door panels, window sills, and woodwork, including window and sill cleaning.
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Handle other job-related duties assigned by your supervisor.
What you bring
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests of varied cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions, often using a repetitive structured routine.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to meet business demands.
- Strong focus on guest satisfaction through positive interaction with both internal and external guests.
- Effective communication in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and use a ladder and step stool.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and 25 pounds periodically, and pull up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity to distinguish objects both near and far (with or without corrective lenses).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment.
