Job Description

In Westlake, Ohio, onsite at the Wyndham Hotel, the Catering Sales Manager leads the end-to-end process for meetings and events, from initial outreach to flawless execution. The role emphasizes maximizing banquet space and driving revenue through new business, repeat clients, and proactive outside sales, with collaboration across hotel teams to deliver exceptional event experiences.

Responsibilities

Solicit, secure, plan, and coordinate meetings and events while maximizing banquet space to meet or exceed sales goals.
Finalize group business and ensure all details are completed accurately.
Recommend program and procedural enhancements to improve outcomes.
Solicit, negotiate, and secure new and repeat business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, and related efforts while optimizing banquet space to meet revenue targets.
Execute a territorial marketing strategy to maximize revenue and achieve sales targets.
Plan, upsell, and detail each meeting or function with the client, including space needs, timing, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations.
Prepare contracts and paperwork, coordinate with relevant hotel departments, and resolve issues to ensure quality delivery and client satisfaction.
Prepare status and period-end reports to keep management informed of activities.
Maintain current knowledge of corporate and hotel procedures, products, and competitors to continually refine sales strategies and achieve goals.
Participate in professional organizations to maintain visibility and promote sales.

Requirements

More than two years of post high school education.
Two years or more experience in Hotel Sales and Catering.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: USD 55,000.00 - 65,000.00 per hour
