Massage Therapist - On Call

Estancia La Jolla, A Noble House Hotel is seeking an on-call Massage Therapist to support the spa team onsite in La Jolla, CA. This role focuses on delivering consistent, guest-first massage and body treatment services aligned with spa standards and established procedures.

Role overview

• Provide exceptional guest service while delivering massages and body treatment services in accordance with spa standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Massage Therapy required to obtain a license and/or permit in the state, county, or city where the spa operates.
• Three to five years of experience as a licensed Massage Therapist in a similar environment (spa, hotel, med spa, or resort) is desired.
• Successfully complete a skills assessment if one is conducted at the spa.
• Training and certification in all basic massage techniques.
• Ability to perform all massage treatments offered by the spa for both men and women.
• Ability to deliver diverse massage modalities, including Swedish and Deep Tissue, with understanding of contraindications for massage therapy.
• Maintain current State, County, City, or other required Massage Therapist licenses and permits.
• Provide a valid original copy of required licenses and permits as required by spa and/or state law.
• A valid CPR certificate or willingness and ability to obtain one may be required.
• Complete all training and continuing education as required.
• Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work varying schedules based on business needs, including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
• Knowledge of all applicable health standards.
• Maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move, and pull moderate amounts of weight.
