Join the culinary team at franklin hotel in Rome, NY (onsite) as a Bread baker / Pastry cook / Cake decorator. What you’ll do

Prepare and bake a wide range of breads and pastries.
Decorate breads using multiple techniques to enhance presentation.
Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistent quality.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
Assist with packaging products for display or take-out orders.
Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate dessert offerings with the overall menu.
Share creative ideas for new pastry items to help keep the menu fresh.
Maintain a clean, organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.

What you bring

Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of pastry techniques, cake decorating, and dessert presentation.
Understanding of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent customer service skills for guest interactions when necessary.
Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen tools safely.
