Hotel Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
As a Shift Engineer with Scarlett Hotel Group, you will help maintain day-to-day performance of critical building systems during your assigned shift. The focus is on inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and accurate documentation to support safe, efficient, and comfortable guest and team environments.

Compensation
USD 20 per hourly
Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and mechanical systems to support optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools including ohmmeters and hand tools.
- Carry out welding, carpentry, painting, and general interior maintenance to maintain facility standards.
- Maintain facilities equipment such as HVAC units, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and other mechanical devices through scheduled repairs or emergency interventions.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for monitoring and automated troubleshooting support.
- Follow safety protocols and document all maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports.
- Coordinate with team members on repairs, upgrades, or installations while delivering excellent customer service to internal clients.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations, with a strong background in electrical work, HVAC system repair, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for building systems.
- Working skill with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Experience applying maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) procedures in commercial or residential environments.
- Ability to read technical schematics and understand PLC programming for automation troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge supported by experience with HVAC systems, including repair and system optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to guide junior team members or apprentices when needed.
- Excellent communication skills in English for reporting issues and collaborating with colleagues.
