Room Attendant

Hotel AKA West Palm is hiring a Room Attendant for onsite housekeeping in West Palm Beach, FL.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and resident areas, including stripping and making beds, removing garbage, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms
• Replenish supplies as needed
• Clean windows, mirrors, and patios where applicable
• Use the AKA Furnished Inventory and Condition Checklist to inventory the condition of room furnishings as needed
• Communicate to the immediate Supervisor and/or designated team member any resident-caused damage, and report items that need repair
• Utilize chemicals according to directions
• Review and become familiar with all material safety data sheets
• Maintain consistent AKA standards and presentation for resident rooms
• Report hazardous conditions in the work area or with equipment to a supervisor
• Keep a stocked and organized cart; maintain tools and equipment clean and orderly
• Bring Lost and Found items to the Supervisor/Manager for logging in the Lost & Found system
• Communicate professionally and with friendliness with residents and Team Members in compliance with AKA service standards
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Korman standards
• Maintain Resident and guest privacy and confidentiality by protecting personal information
• Familiar with emergency and safety procedures for the role
• Adhere to the AKA Image Requirements policy
• Approach all encounters with residents and Team Members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Promote a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
• Demonstrate energetic, self-motivated, “can do” positive attitude
• Function as a representative of the Korman culture and standards to Team Members and residents
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in English (written and oral) preferred
• Preferred background in Housekeeping

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Push/pull up to 50 lbs as needed
• Sit, stand, bend, stretch, lift items, and move intermittently during working hours
• Work with chemicals
