Job Description

Overnight front desk role focused on guest service, accurate transactions, and safety-first operations.

Responsibilities

Handle night check-in and check-out, including issuing room keys and providing directions and hotel service information.
Collect required identification at check-in in accordance with local legislative requirements.
Answer phones promptly and courteously; respond to, record, and process guest calls, messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
Record and maintain guest preferences in the system.
Upsell rooms when possible to support hotel revenue.
Process all cash and credit card transactions accurately using established procedures.
Resolve late or disputed charges during guest departure.
Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes in line with hotel procedures.
Communicate outstanding guest requests or issues to management for additional monitoring or follow-up.
Take appropriate action to resolve guest problems and complaints using established service recovery guidelines.
Follow hotel safety protocols at all times; immediately report health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
Book reservations for individuals and/or groups upon request (phone or in-hotel), and process cancellations, revisions, and information updates for changes.
Work with other departments and communicate per hotel procedures to maintain service quality.
Complete additional duties as assigned, including guest room tours, concierge services, and special guest requests.
Perform bell person duties as requested, including parking and pulling vehicles for valet.

Requirements

High School diploma / Secondary qualification or equivalent.
Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.

Physical and Technical Ability

Frequently stand behind the desk and front office areas.
Carry or lift items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms.

Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance operations including guestrooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and exterior grounds.
