Job Description

At The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach, FL, the stewarding team is central to maintaining the elevated cleanliness and efficiency guests expect. The Stewarding Supervisor leads a designated kitchen area, coordinating daily sanitation work across kitchen and food and beverage spaces while supporting luxury service standards.

This onsite, full-time leadership role focuses on organizing workflow for dish and pot cleaning, maintaining impeccable storage practices, and ensuring health and safety compliance through rigorous inspections and HACCP-aligned procedures.

What you’ll do

Oversee daily stewarding operations by supervising the team, scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and keeping workflow moving across dishwashing, pot washing, equipment cleaning, and waste management.
Maintain top-tier hygiene across all kitchen and back-of-house areas, including floors, walls, utensils, pots, pans, surfaces, glassware, silverware, and equipment, ensuring items are cleaned, sanitized, and stored to luxury standards.
Train, coach, and develop stewarding hoteliers on proper cleaning methods, safety protocols, hygiene practices, safe equipment handling, and correct chemical usage.
Support kitchen operations as needed by providing supplies, assisting with basic tasks, and helping sustain smooth food production.
Monitor kitchen and dining areas for compliance with local health and safety regulations, including sanitation of food prep areas, storage facilities, and dishwashing equipment.
Enforce food safety protocols, including correct food storage temperatures and prevention of cross-contamination.
Manage inventory for cleaning supplies, chemicals, and operating equipment, control breakage or loss to minimize costs, and order or replenish items as required.
Enforce safety, health, and sanitation regulations through inspections, immediate issue resolution, and consistent promotion of a safe work environment.
Handle team performance by monitoring productivity, providing feedback, recommending corrective actions, and supporting development within a luxury service culture.
Maintain strong standards of organization, cleanliness, and professionalism to support the hotel’s reputation for excellence, and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
Assist with ordering supplies and ensure stock rotation to support freshness.
Adhere to strict sanitation regulations, including HACCP and applicable local codes.
Serve as an example for the team through personal appearance and hygiene standards aligned with a professional guest experience.
Maintain an elevated service mindset with creativity, commitment to service excellence, and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality to support a luxury restaurant ambience.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in a renowned upscale restaurant and/or hotel.
Fluent in English; other languages are considered an asset.
Full-time role with the ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to reach, bend, balance, and repeatedly transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs during a shift.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time of application. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
