Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper

BEST WESTERN HOTEL in Gastonia, NC is hiring a Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper to help keep guest rooms and shared spaces clean, comfortable, and well maintained. This in-person role blends housekeeping and laundry support, with a focus on delivering a fresh environment through consistent cleaning, floor care, and linen handling.

As part of the housekeeping team, you will follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols while supporting both room readiness and cleanliness across public areas. The position is paid $10.00 to $13.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms by making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities for a fresh, inviting environment
• Complete floor care tasks including mopping, sweeping, and polishing to maintain cleanliness and safety across all areas
• Manage laundry duties by collecting, washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently
• Maintain public areas by cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces with precision
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health standards
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to support quick resolution and protect room quality
• Assist team members with additional janitorial or custodial tasks as needed to keep the facility in top condition

Requirements

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of floor care methods, including mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning equipment operation
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred to support guest service expectations
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning tools and custodial supplies for thorough and efficient cleaning
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple rooms or areas simultaneously without sacrificing quality
• Excellent communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues accurately
