Room Attendant
Job Description
Join Merete Hotel Management as a Room Attendant onsite in Roseburg, OR, maintaining clean, orderly hotel rooms and completing housekeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
- Make beds, replenish linens, and clean rooms, bathrooms, and halls; vacuum as needed
- Unload and load housekeeping cart with supplies
- Replace cleaning supplies and keep inventory stocked
- Report problems and any maintenance repairs required
- Update supervisor on room status, work progress, and guest requests or issues
- Record and turn in all lost and found items
- Maintain cart cleanliness, organization, and readiness
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
- Complete additional assigned duties, including cross training
- Work within recognized time frames for assigned tasks
- Meet expected cleaning times for rooms according to brand standards
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and punctuality
- Work with a respectful, positive, and team-focused approach
Requirements
- Lift and carry average weight of 20 lbs frequently; maximum weight frequently 50 lbs
- Stand and walk up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Reach and extend overhead to pull items down
- Push and pull average weight frequently 50 lbs; maximum weight 150 lbs
- Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting
- Work with and be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise
- Adhere to hotel safety standards and procedures, including hearing, eye, and hand protection for equipment operation
- Manage time effectively (time spent per room, planning, and prioritizing)
- Communicate effectively with guests, management, and team members
- Work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment
- Follow all policies and procedures while striving to improve operational standards
- Follow safety procedures consistently
- Meet or exceed productivity standards
- Prior housekeeping experience helpful
- Pass a criminal background check
