Room Inspector

PHX Hotel Operations, LLC is hiring a Room Inspector for an onsite role in Phoenix, AZ. This position supports smooth guest-ready room standards by completing pre-arrival and post-cleaning inspections, validating inventory and cleanliness, and escalating any issues to the right teams. The role also manages key use and helps ensure accurate lost and found reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect all assigned rooms pre-arrival.
• Inspect rooms after they have been cleaned by staff, confirming inventories are complete and the guest room is cleaned properly before rooms are turned over to Housekeeping Supervisors.
• Use checklists to verify cleanliness and report any concerns.
• Check in-room inventory including linen, remote controls, decor, dish and cookware, paper products, cleaning supplies, and electric appliances.
• Report any missing inventory and any maintenance requests to the Engineering Department.
• Provide reports to the Director of Housekeeping daily.
• Communicate with the Housekeeping office and Housekeeping Supervisors to request needed supplies.
• Properly use, secure, and return the key on a daily basis.
• Immediately report all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Department.
• Report to a supervisor or managers any unsatisfactory work completed in rooms.
• Assist in cleaning rooms when necessary.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel setting.
• Must be available weekends and holidays.
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequently required to stand for periods of time; occasionally required to sit, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
