Job Description

This Maintenance Staff position supports property operations, preventive maintenance, and guest-request handling at ESTA Hotel LLC, onsite in Tempe, AZ.

Responsibilities

Engage guests and colleagues with a courteous, attentive, and service-minded approach.
Maintain professional appearance and wear the designated uniform and name tag per brand standards.
Adhere to Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and safety policies to promote safe, efficient hotel operations.
Follow all hotel and departmental procedures and policies.
Report emergencies and unusual situations immediately to the appropriate party.
Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests.
Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up painting, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, and light bulb replacements.
Perform quarterly maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool, and hot tub.
Assist with plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, preventive maintenance on exhaust fans and related components, and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment as needed.
Promptly follow up on alarms to identify location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the manager on duty.
Identify safety hazards and assist with mitigation efforts.
Support compliance with health code requirements for pool and spa areas.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or related trades is preferred.
Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the property; ability to convey information clearly.
Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Extended hours may be required.
Ability to work unsupervised.

Job Description

ESTA Hotel LLC seeks a Room Attendant in Tempe, AZ (onsite) to maintain clean guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in line with hotel procedures.

Responsibilities

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag per brand standards.
Comply at all times with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
Clean rooms with the door always closed unless requested to do so otherwise.
Report all missing items from rooms (irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, etc.) to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
Report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
Handle all Lost and Found items according to the standards.
Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Long hours sometimes required.
Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
Ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking during your entire shift.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
