Maintenance Staff

Responsibilities

• Engage guests and colleagues with a courteous, attentive, and service-minded approach.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear the designated uniform and name tag per brand standards.
• Adhere to Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and safety policies to promote safe, efficient hotel operations.
• Follow all hotel and departmental procedures and policies.
• Report emergencies and unusual situations immediately to the appropriate party.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests.
• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up painting, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, and light bulb replacements.
• Perform quarterly maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool, and hot tub.
• Assist with plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, preventive maintenance on exhaust fans and related components, and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment as needed.
• Promptly follow up on alarms to identify location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the manager on duty.
• Identify safety hazards and assist with mitigation efforts.
• Support compliance with health code requirements for pool and spa areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or related trades is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the property; ability to convey information clearly.
• Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Extended hours may be required.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
