Breakfast Server

Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Breakfast Server (part-time, onsite) to deliver prompt, warm, memorable service to guests.

Responsibilities

• Smile and deliver a welcoming, warm first impression as guests arrive
• Greet and seat guests when needed
• Maintain a cooperative, positive attitude toward guests and team members at all times
• Provide friendly, prompt, attentive service tailored to each guest
• Manage dining service, including cleaning and resetting dirty tables when necessary
• Converse with guests while managing time and priorities efficiently
• Respond to guest requests and inform management of any complaints
• Share menu knowledge and recommend options; upsell food and drink options when appropriate
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the drink menu and alcohol selections
• Handle cash transactions accurately; perform basic fast math
• Maintain readiness for some manual labor, including occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
• Stand or walk for the entire shift
• Work weekends and holidays as needed
• Support cross-training when required
• Complete other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Organized and able to prioritize and juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs
• Excellent communication skills, including a pleasant and professional phone manner
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Stay positive in stressful situations and remain calm
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to take direction
• Ability to handle compliments and guest concerns with management support
• Food Handler Certification (preferred)
• California RBS Certification (preferred)

Compensation

• $25.00/hour (USD 25 - 25 per hourly)
