Hotel Breakfast Attendant

In this onsite role at Scholar Hotel State College in State College, PA, you will help deliver a welcoming, well-organized breakfast experience. You will prepare and replenish food, support guest service in the dining area, and maintain a clean, safe environment by following established food handling and sanitizing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, arrange, and replenish breakfast items while following food handling and food safety procedures.
• Serve guests, answer questions, and maintain a clean, orderly dining and service area.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely; handle supplies and food items using appropriate manual handling practices.
• Support basic transactions and service needs, including processing cash transactions and using point-of-sale (POS) systems when required.

Required Qualifications

• Customer service experience with in-person customer service, serving, and food service experience; restaurant experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, cleaning, and food safety, including food safety management.
• Ability to follow sanitizing procedures, operate kitchen equipment, and meet workplace weight-handling requirements.
• Basic math skills, with hospitality or food industry experience useful.

Preferred Skills

• Fine dining, culinary, or wine knowledge is a plus, but not required.

Role Overview

Compensation

USD 17 - 19 per hour
