Breakfast Attendant

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Racine Harbourwalk is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to oversee the breakfast service and support a high-quality dining experience for guests. This onsite role in Racine, WI focuses on preparing and replenishing breakfast items, maintaining clean and sanitary areas, and following food safety and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the breakfast service to support a quality dining experience with strong guest satisfaction and high food quality and service standards.
• Prepare food and beverage for the breakfast function and create and maintain a pleasant presentation for breakfast.
• Prepare breakfast food and beverage items and set out all hot and cold foods in line with food safety regulations.
• Replenish food and beverage items throughout the meal period, ensuring items remain fully stocked even up to the last minute the service is open.
• Ensure foods are kept at safe temperatures and that tables are bussed, cleaned, and properly maintained while breakfast and happy hour are open.
• Vacuum the dining area and keep the breakfast area clean, including storing food and removing trash as needed.
• Receive and unpack vendor items on arrival, date items upon receipt, and pack according to safety standards using FIFO (First in first out).
• Greet guests as they arrive for breakfast and assist with service if required, including replenishing coffee as time permits.
• Build rapport with guests, resolve issues when able, and report complaints or concerns immediately to management for resolution.
• Pass along sales leads and guest issues on a daily basis to management based on guest discussions.
• Practice cost-effective approaches to improve breakfast appeal.
• Assist the department with safety equipment and emergency procedures to support the safety of guests and employees.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous manner at all times.
• Maintain inventory of needed supplies and keep items at par level, including timely put-away according to brand food standards.
• Comply with standards in the brand’s food sanitation checklist and ensure breakfast meets all brand and local health regulations.
• Complete monthly food audits.
• Be familiar with hotel facilities, including their location and hours.
• Take trash out to the dumpster as needed and perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

• Be dependable and prompt, arriving on time and ready to work in a clean uniform and nametag.
• Follow all food safety regulations and ensure foods are kept at safe temperatures.
• Practice FIFO (First in first out) when packing items according to safety standards.
• Comply with standards outlined in the brand’s food sanitation checklist.
• Ensure breakfast meets all brand and local health regulations.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous manner at all times.

Work Location and Compensation

This position is onsite in Racine, WI at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Racine Harbourwalk. Pay is USD 15 per hourly.
