Breakfast Attendant

Seasonal full-time Breakfast Attendant role at Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail, CO 81657 (onsite). This position supports the daily breakfast experience by preparing and maintaining the buffet, supporting guests with attentive service, and keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner in line with the Employee Handbook.
• Set up, break down, and maintain the morning breakfast buffet.
• Keep buffet items stocked and presentable, including fruits, breads, cereals, eggs, and bacon.
• Maintain the safety and appearance of the buffet area throughout service.
• Wash all dishes, utensils, and serving trays used for breakfast.
• Clean the breakfast kitchen and dining area daily, including trash removal.
• Bus tables and remove dishes as guests finish dining.
• Ensure guest tables remain clean and available during breakfast service.
• Complete minor food preparation tasks, including making coffee, oat meal, and waffle batter.
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude to support an enjoyable guest experience.
• Assist guests with questions on occasion.
• Notify Management when breakfast items are low and need replacing.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Manager.

Schedule and Wage

Schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Pay: USD 18.00 to 20.00 per hour, plus tips.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Basic knowledge of fine dining table set up is helpful.
• Personable disposition, including the ability to maintain demeanor in pressure situations.

Preferred Skills

• Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• Minor food preparation.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Most duties are performed indoors.

• Working conditions vary by season, with high traffic during peak season and medium traffic during the off season.
• Be prepared to work long hours.
