Full Time Night Auditor
Job Description

As a Night Auditor, you will help ensure a smooth end-of-day close, support third-shift Guest Service Representative duties, and deliver attentive, courteous service to guests throughout their stay.
What You’ll Do
- Provide a friendly, sincere welcome and maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction through attentive service to guests and associates.
- Listen carefully to guest requests, respond with accurate information, and take appropriate action.
- Resolve guest issues quickly, efficiently, and courteously while using Service Recovery items as needed.
- Collect, verify, and communicate accurate guest, room, and group event information; enter and maintain data to keep it current.
- Support an organized filing process by documenting on purchases, reports, and tracking logs.
- Maintain guest and group requirement information, updating details and relaying information as needed.
- Recognize and reward brand members in accordance with brand standards.
- Deliver sales and upsell opportunities for all products and services.
- Maintain proper key management and prepare lists of expected arrivals; assist with preregistration and process advanced reservations.
- Create and maintain reservation records, prepare letters of confirmation, and process cancellations and modifications promptly.
- Follow cash-handling, check, and credit processes accurately, including verifying credit cards and required guest information.
- Operate and enter data into Front Office computer systems, property management, catering, and Microsoft Office, including Hilton branded or similar systems.
- Stay current on property procedures, brand activities, local attractions, directions, and other local information to provide accurate front desk support.
- Monitor the pool as needed/required by state.
- Ensure lobby, front desk, and entrances are properly sanitized according to brand.
- Step in for other staff as directed or as needed, and complete other duties as assigned, including attending staff meetings as needed.
Night Audit and Security Duties
- Perform end-of-day report preparation, completion, and electronic transmission, including the night audit checklist work.
- Conduct end-of-day financial reconciliation by verifying and balancing daily transactions.
- Verify room charges, taxes, and other hotel revenues.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours, handling reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports for management.
- Monitor hotel security to help ensure the safety of guests and staff during the night shift.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies in accounting and guest billing.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED required to accomplish the essential functions of this role.
- Computer proficient and familiar with office equipment.
- Ability to respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Must be able to handle a crisis calmly and effectively, including upset guests, fire, tornado, armed robbery and assault, bomb threats, and accidents.
