Hotel Houseman

At Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley, the Hotel Houseperson plays a hands-on role in maintaining the property’s public spaces and supporting event setups and guest services. This onsite, full-time position sits at the heart of daily operations, helping to keep the environment welcoming while coordinating with housekeeping and the front desk to meet guest needs. The role offers an hourly wage and is supported by a high school diploma requirement.

Location: Mill Valley, CA (onsite)

Salary: USD 19 - 21 per hourly

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the hotel’s public areas, including the lobby, hallways, staff rooms, walkways, back deck, and garage.
• Cleaning duties cover sweeping, mopping, hosing, window cleaning, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, stairwell handrails, and more; these tasks account for more than half of the shift.
• Greet guests at the curb, at the front desk, or in rooms to assist with baggage.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning the conference room before and after meetings and events.
• Support Event Space needs as required.
• Assist maintenance staff with small projects as needed, such as painting or lifting.
• Deliver items and amenities to guest rooms as directed by the Front Desk Host.
• Assist housekeeping with laundry and linen removal to and from guest rooms.
• Make up daybeds and rollaway beds as needed.

Requirements

• Houseperson experience preferred; training available.
• Prompt, hardworking, friendly and outgoing with guests.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Willing to perform cleaning and physical work; enjoys a variety of tasks and is flexible to switch between tasks throughout the day.
