Hotel Laundry Attendant

Key responsibilities

• Assist with stripping dirty linen from guest rooms as needed
• Sort linens for the washer and prepare items for cleaning
• Remove stains from badly soiled linen
• Dispose of linen and terry properly
• Operate washers and dryers properly, ensuring the correct chemicals and amounts are used
• Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized in designated places
• Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets according to hotel standards
• Keep the laundry area neat and clean
• Assist housekeepers with room cleanliness when needed
• Assist with cleaning and up-keeping of storage areas
• Report immediately any damage found in the laundry room or with equipment
• Notify the Executive Housekeeper of damage to roll-aways or cribs in rooms
• Complete all other duties assigned

What you’ll need

• Wear the provided uniform and nametag at all times while on the property
• Ability to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed for tasks
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
• Ability to perform repetitive movements when cleaning and folding
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
