Job Description

As a Housekeeping Attendant onsite in Garner, NC, you will keep guest rooms cleaned, refreshed, and maintained to hotel standards.

Responsibilities

Change bed linen daily
Vacuum carpeting
Dust all furniture, including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, and dressers
Remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, and similar areas
Thoroughly clean bathroom areas, including shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, and related fixtures
Ensure each room’s standard set-up is completed and compliant
Report immediately any damage found in a room
Report immediately missing items in the room; report immediately personal guest items found in vacant rooms
Turn in lost and found items immediately to the Executive Housekeeper
Assist housekeepers with additional cleaning chores as assigned

Requirements

Detail-oriented and thorough cleaning approach
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Frequently pulling, pushing, and bending
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and folding tasks for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Key responsibilities

Assist with stripping dirty linen from guest rooms as needed
Sort linens for the washer and prepare items for cleaning
Remove stains from badly soiled linen
Dispose of linen and terry properly
Operate washers and dryers properly, ensuring the correct chemicals and amounts are used
Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized in designated places
Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets according to hotel standards
Keep the laundry area neat and clean
Assist housekeepers with room cleanliness when needed
Assist with cleaning and up-keeping of storage areas
Report immediately any damage found in the laundry room or with equipment
Notify the Executive Housekeeper of damage to roll-aways or cribs in rooms
Complete all other duties assigned

What you’ll need

Wear the provided uniform and nametag at all times while on the property
Ability to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed for tasks
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
Ability to perform repetitive movements when cleaning and folding
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
