Hotel Maintenance

Rebel Hotel Company offers an onsite Hotel Maintenance Engineer role in Sunnyvale, CA. In this position you will operate, maintain and repair equipment, participate in the preventative maintenance program, handle guest requests and various work orders, and perform trades such as carpentry, painting and plumbing to support guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation, upkeep and repair of hotel equipment
• Replace lighting as needed
• Carry out preventative maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repairs, touch-up painting, minor furniture fixes, tub caulking and tile repairs
• Execute preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC systems, guestrooms, meeting rooms, and pool facilities
• Complete plumbing repairs as required
• Repair laundry equipment as needed
• Carry out preventative maintenance on exhaust and supply fans
• Monitor energy conservation efforts
• Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment when requested
• Respond promptly to alarms to identify location and cause, assess emergency status and report findings to the Front Desk
• Take on additional tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager
• Access back-of-house areas and sensitive information
• Interact with guests and colleagues, occasionally without direct supervision
• Access and control sensitive areas such as the Hotel Safe, master keys and guestrooms, storage and liquor room, and secured file cabinets
• Drive safely for company business as required
• Maintain a high level of trust and accountability
• Represent the company with good character, a solid reputation and sound judgment
