Houseperson

Hotel Amarano Burbank is seeking a Houseperson in Burbank, CA (onsite) to support room attendants, maintain housekeeping standards, and respond to guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.
• Deliver fresh linens and other housekeeping supplies to room attendants throughout the day.
• Remove dirty linens from room attendants’ carts and closets and transport them to the laundry area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on the assigned floor, including closets and water and ice stations.
• Remove trash, wipe down shelves and counters, sweep and wax floors, and remove non-floor closet items for proper storage.
• Clean additional assigned areas, including public restrooms, fixtures, storage areas, and other public areas for the assigned floors.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities to minimize waste within housekeeping areas.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments to share information about guest needs, requests, and complaints.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, including delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g., linens, cots, etc.).
• Handle guest complaints and ensure corrective action is completed promptly to support full guest satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous hotel Housekeeping experience and knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and the operation of various cleaning equipment are highly preferred.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead for cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation

• USD 20–20 per hour (hourly)
