Laundry Attendant

Hotel Indigo North Conway in North Conway, NH is hiring a Laundry Attendant (onsite) to support clean, sanitized guest textiles through efficient laundry operations.

Responsibilities

• Run laundry machines including industrial washers and industrial dryers, following safety protocols while cleaning textiles effectively.
• Handle a range of fabrics with care, including delicate fabrics and heavy linens, while maintaining sanitation and proper garment care.
• Sort, load, and unload laundry using push carts and other materials handling equipment to keep workflow moving.
• Measure and apply laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely, using manufacturer instructions and required safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic laundry area by sanitizing equipment and workspaces to meet hygiene requirements.
• Support dry cleaning tasks when necessary, ensuring textiles are properly cleaned and cared for.
• Deliver customer service by responding promptly to laundry service requests and completing tasks within expected timeframes.

Requirements

• Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred, with training provided if needed.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of linens, blankets, and other textiles.
• Working knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to follow safety protocol guidelines.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting items, and managing laundry loads accurately.
• Familiarity with garment care equipment is a plus, including industrial washers, industrial dryers, and dry cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, textile cleaning, and proper garment care.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service.
