Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant at DoubleTree Hotel Augusta in Augusta, GA (onsite) supports consistent, standards-based care of hotel linens and garments. This role focuses on washing, sorting, handling contaminated and stained items, and maintaining equipment readiness through regular filter checks and inventory support.

Key Responsibilities

• Load articles into washers and ensure the correct code is entered into machine controls.
• Wash items in accordance with StepStone and hotel washing and handling standards.
• Sort dried articles by item type, and inspect each load for stains and damage.
• Fold items and place them in the appropriate storage racks.
• Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when they are found.
• Soak articles according to procedure in bleach.
• Check and clean washer and dryer filters every two hours to support proper operation.
• Make rounds to pull dirty linen from housekeeping carts as needed.
• Assist with monthly linen inventory activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of the English language to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Ability to accurately report information.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
