Laundry Attendant

San Diego’s downtown is getting a new hotel, and the opening season is bringing opportunities across the team. Baxter Hotel Group Inc is seeking a Laundry Attendant for Tru & Home2 Suites by Hilton San Diego Downtown, scheduled to open in November 2026. In this onsite role, you will help keep linens and hotel items clean, organized, and ready for guest-facing service while working with commercial laundry equipment safely.

Role Overview

You will wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute linens and other hotel items. The position also includes maintaining the laundry room, supporting clean linen availability across departments, and following housekeeping, safety, and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, including towels, pillowcases, blankets, and uniforms
• Use commercial laundry equipment by following proper washing procedures, chemical usage, and manufacturer recommendations
• Operate washers, dryers, ironing equipment, folding equipment, and other laundry machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly
• Distribute clean linens to housekeeping closets, linen rooms, guest floors, pool deck, and other hotel departments to maintain inventory levels
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, excessive wear, or quality concerns
• Remove damaged items from service, report inventory needs, and ensure only clean, presentable linens return for guest use
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, including equipment, tables, storage areas, and chemical storage
• Dispose of trash, lint, and debris
• Deliver linens, stock housekeeping carts, transport soiled linens, assist with deep cleaning projects, and respond to operational needs as requested
• Greet guests with a friendly smile and assist when needed
• Complete other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

• Hotel housekeeping experience preferred
• Knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and proper linen procedures preferred
• Ability to safely operate washers, dryers, ironing equipment, and folding equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to organize and maintain linen inventories
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and laundry sanitation procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining quality standards

Compensation: USD 19 per hour. Location: San Diego, CA (onsite).
