Lead Laundry Attendant

Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg, TX is hiring a Lead Laundry Attendant (onsite) to lead daily laundry operations and ensure linens and laundry items are processed, inspected, inventoried, and delivered to hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all operational standards, policies, procedures, manuals, training materials, memos, and verbal instructions
• Lead teammates in completing daily assigned laundry tasks
• Assist with training new staff members in the laundry department
• In the absence of a supervisor, act as the point person for questions and team direction
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other laundry items according to established procedures
• Identify stains and pre-treat linens and fabrics prior to washing for optimal results
• Clean and maintain laundry equipment regularly; report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
• Track linen inventory and notify the supervisor when reordering is needed to maintain adequate stock levels
• Inspect cleaned items for cleanliness and quality to ensure they meet hotel standards before returning to circulation
• Distribute clean, folded laundry to housekeeping and other departments as needed
• Maintain a lost and found system for laundry items and return items to the appropriate departments
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and processing laundry items
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front office departments to support smooth operations and timely laundry delivery
• Respond promptly to guest comments and concerns; notify the immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
• Maintain clear communication with departments and management using email, logbooks, and meetings to meet outlet needs
• Support special projects as needed
• Be available to fill in and assist in other areas to keep the outlet running efficiently as directed by the outlet manager; attend relevant meetings as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience in laundry operations or a related field preferred
• Ability to interpret standard operating procedures, safety guidance, and sanitation instructions
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of laundry
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize laundry processing efficiently

Compensation

• Salary: USD 20 per hourly
