Room Attendant

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, well-presented guest rooms and assigned hotel areas in line with hotel standards and established procedures. This is an on-site, in-person, full-time union position in Iselin, NJ.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, service-oriented interactions with guests and employees.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality according to Company standards and hotel scheduling requirements.
• Maintain proper personal appearance, grooming, uniform, and name tag in accordance with brand standards.
• Follow all Company and hotel policies, procedures, safety, and security standards.
• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to established standards.
• Stock housekeeping carts with required linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
• Replace linens, replenish guest supplies, and remove trash and soiled linen.
• Perform assigned deep-cleaning and room care tasks.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the position and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Position Summary

The position focuses on keeping guest rooms and assigned hotel areas clean and attractive by completing daily room service tasks such as changing linens, replenishing supplies, removing trash, and maintaining housekeeping carts and supplies. Deep-cleaning and additional room care tasks may be completed as permitted by hotel procedures and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Compensation

• Salary range: USD 18 - 18 per hourly
• Salary range (as posted): $18.54 per hour
