Room Attendant

You will play a key part in keeping guest rooms clean, comfortable, and ready for arrivals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a combination of cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, vacuuming, and cleaning halls.
• Unload and load the housekeeping cart with supplies, replace cleaning supplies, and keep the cart clean, neat, and fully stocked.
• Complete routine communication with your supervisor on room status, work progress, and any guest requests or problems.
• Report problems and any maintenance repairs as needed.
• Record and turn in all lost and found items.
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support additional tasks as assigned, including cross training, and work within recognized time frames appropriate to the task.
• Meet expected cleaning times for rooms according to brand standards.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Work with a respectful, positive, and team-focused approach.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This role involves frequent movement and task-based physical demands. You should be prepared to:

• Lift and carry average weight of 20 lbs frequently, with maximum weight frequently up to 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.
• Reach and use overhead extension to pull items down.
• Push and pull average weight frequently of 50 lbs, with maximum weight frequently up to 150 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.

Working conditions include exposure to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise. You must adhere to hotel safety standards and procedures, including hearing, eye, and hand protection for equipment operation.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to effectively manage time, including time spent per room, planning, and prioritizing.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and team members.
• Capability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to all relevant policies and procedures while continuously aiming to improve operational standards.
• Meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
• Prior housekeeping experience is helpful.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Compensation: USD 16 per hourly.
