Room Attendant

Merete Hotel Management is hiring a Room Attendant to support clean, well-prepared guest rooms and common areas at their Medford, OR property. This role blends careful housekeeping tasks with timely communication so rooms are maintained to brand standards and guest needs are addressed as they come up.

Location: Medford, OR (Onsite)
Pay: USD 16 per hour

What you’ll do

• Perform cleaning duties that may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, vacuuming, and cleaning halls.
• Unload and load the housekeeping cart with supplies.
• Replace cleaning supplies and keep the cart clean, neat, and stocked.
• Report problems and maintenance repairs as needed.
• Communicate with your supervisor regarding room status, work progress, and any guest requests or issues.
• Record and turn in all lost and found items.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Complete other assigned duties, including cross training.
• Work within recognized time frames appropriate to assigned tasks and meet expected cleaning times for rooms according to brand standards.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Work with others in a respectful, positive, and teamwork-focused manner.

What you bring

• Ability to lift and carry an average weight of 20 lbs frequently, with maximum weight frequently up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.
• Ability to reach and extend overhead to pull items down.
• Ability to push and pull an average weight frequently 50 lbs, with maximum weight up to 150 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
• Comfort working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise.
• Adherence to Hotel safety standards and procedures, including hearing, eye, and hand protection for equipment operation.
• Effective time management, including time spent per room and planning and prioritizing.
• Ability to communicate with guests and with management and team members.
• Ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures while striving to improve standards of operation.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Prior housekeeping experience helpful.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
