Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new corporate accounts, including local businesses, project teams, training groups, and small meeting planners.
- Build leisure demand through partnerships with travel advisors, local attractions, event organizers, and regional tourism opportunities.
- Conduct sales calls, site tours, and networking outreach to promote the hotelβs rooms, meeting space, and guest experience.
- Negotiate rates, packages, and contracts that balance guest value with hotel revenue goals.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and follow up consistently to convert inquiries into bookings.
- Work closely with front desk, reservations, and operations teams to deliver a smooth guest experience for booked accounts and groups.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and local demand patterns to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Prepare weekly sales activity reports, booking forecasts, and account updates for leadership.
- Help create special offers and seasonal promotions that attract both business and leisure travelers.
- Represent the hotel at community events, business associations, and trade networking opportunities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales, business development, or hotel hospitality sales experience preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prospect independently and manage multiple accounts at once.
- Comfortable using CRM tools, email, spreadsheets, and sales reports.
- Understanding of hotel operations, room inventory, and guest service standards is a plus.
