Houseperson

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going smoothly.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold resort and hotel cleanliness standards.
• Walk all assigned floors at the start and end of each shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen.
• Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock on each floor pantry.
• Deliver towels, cribs, cots, and other items to guest rooms upon request.
• Perform duties of a room attendant when necessary.
• Refill par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.
• Assist room attendants with heavy lifting during deep cleaning of rooms.
• Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner following standard operating procedures.
• Remove soiled linen and trash from service areas and dispose of them per protocol.
• Always respond to guests and colleagues in a friendly, helpful manner.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is desirable.
• Neat appearance and pleasant personality.
• Solid time management skills.
• Ability to stand and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Physical capability to move, traverse, and reach corners on floors and high areas; operate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; handle equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
• Lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.
