Houseperson

As a Houseperson with Hotel Equities Group, LLC in Phoenix, AZ, you will help maintain clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public spaces. The role supports positive guest experiences through careful attention to detail, efficient room care, and timely responses to housekeeping needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces in line with hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish supplies, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces.
• Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness, damage, or maintenance concerns and report issues promptly.
• Provide courteous service to guest requests and address special housekeeping needs.
• Handle guest belongings and hotel property responsibly according to company procedures.
• Keep housekeeping carts, supplies, and work areas organized and ready for use.
• Follow proper chemical handling, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as assigned.
• Communicate room status and maintenance needs to the appropriate hotel departments.
• Support the team in meeting productivity, quality, and guest satisfaction standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and hotel cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional and courteous guest-service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Technology & Systems

• Property Management Systems (PMS)
• Housekeeping room-status systems
• Mobile or handheld hotel communication tools

Experience with the systems above is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
