Job Description

In Coral Gables, the Biltmore Hotel Limited team depends on Laundry Attendants to keep clean linen flowing to both internal operations and external customers. This onsite role focuses on following department standards outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP’s), supporting consistent quality while handling pressing equipment, sorting, inventory, and rewash processing.

Responsibilities

Follow all Biltmore policies and procedures while maintaining required quality standards.
Operate pressing equipment using the correct settings.
Sort and inventory discard linen.
Sort linen for rewash and prepare items to be reprocessed using the rewash formula.
Assist with sorting wash linen.
Report any discrepancies to the Supervisor / Manager.

Requirements

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Compute accurate mathematical calculations.

Experience and Education

Education: High school or equivalent education preferred.
Experience: Practical work experience in a similar position preferred.

Physical Demands

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Use, carry, and operate necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
Communicate with employees, managers, subordinates, and guests using verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
Visually look at a computer for extended periods of time.
Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel, where most tasks are performed indoors under controlled thermostat settings.
