Job Description

What You’ll Do

Manage housekeeping operations in line with established guest service, quality, and sustainability standards.
Interview, select, hire, train, schedule, coach, and support housekeeping associates to ensure performance meets established brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
Observe and monitor staff performance to maintain efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
Respond to guest questions related to hotel policies and services, and resolve complaints and concerns.
Build schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates.
Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to ensure supplies are purchased in a timely manner.
Prepare required paperwork for departmental functions.
Track and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and support higher guest satisfaction.
Comply with HHM internal audit standards for key control and risk management areas, including lost and found, key control, and guest room safety.
Maintain departmental expenses within the budget described by the General Manager.
Ensure compliance with specific brand standards.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the HHM EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits by following MSDS and OSHA standards, wearing protective safety equipment, and participating in safety committees as directed.
Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

One year of previous housekeeping supervisor experience is required.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
