Line Cook

The Florida Hotel and Conference Ctr in Orlando is hiring a Line Cook to help keep the kitchen running smoothly while serving guests with consistently high-quality meals. This in-person, full-time position focuses on fast, accurate food preparation, safe equipment use, and strong teamwork across the kitchen line.

Working onsite in Orlando, you will follow established recipes and standards, contribute to day-to-day production, and help maintain a clean, organized work area that meets food safety expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items using established recipes, portioning, and plating standards.
• Support menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including proper food handling practices.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure meals are prepared and presented on time.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Follow health and safety regulations and comply with applicable food safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in casual dining.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and meal preparation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and also work independently when needed.
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with a variety of cooking methods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A genuine passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

• Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
