Lobby Ambassador

As a part time Lobby Ambassador at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando, you serve as the first point of contact for guests in the lobby and public areas. In this role, you provide warm, observant, personalized hospitality while coordinating with internal teams to support guest needs, safety, and front desk operations during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, offering assistance and personalized attention.
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence in the lobby, providing directions, recommendations, and support for concerns.
• Monitor guest flow and lobby activity to help ensure a welcoming and orderly environment.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer proactive support, including luggage assistance and local insights.
• Coordinate with Guest Services and Concierge to ensure timely responses to guest requests.
• Support VIP arrivals, special occasions, and guest recognition programs.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping to help maintain cleanliness and a strong presentation of lobby and public areas.
• Support crowd control and guest movement during peak check-in, check-out, and event periods.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
• Report safety concerns or unusual activity to Security and Management.
• Support guest recovery efforts, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
• Assist front desk operations during high-volume periods.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, emergency procedures, and service standards.
• Participate in lobby activations and seasonal guest engagement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 45 pounds, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and walking.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Maintain regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Property Management Systems learning may be required as part of the role.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or a relevant industry preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn Property Management Systems required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with team members, leaders, and guests.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule as described above.
