Cabinkeeper for Postcard Cabins

Hotel Equities is seeking a Cabinkeeper for the Postcard Cabins in Wimberley, TX (onsite). This role supports guest satisfaction and revenue by keeping cabins and public areas clean, orderly, and in line with established standards and proper presentation.

As a Cabinkeeper, you will handle cabin turnovers, routine sanitation tasks, and basic equipment checks, while maintaining a friendly, courteous presence throughout your shift.

What you’ll do

• Thoroughly clean assigned cabins and cabin patios, including wiping and cleaning windows, doors, walls, closets, floors, bathrooms, appliances, and fixtures, while keeping the property clean and attractive at all times.
• Clean hard-to-reach areas using ladders or stepping stools as needed.
• Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls if applicable, wipe exposed pipes, and clean mirrors, sinks, and walls to support sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replace linen, toiletries, and collateral in each cabin.
• Wash all hard floor surfaces (such as linoleum and tile) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas.
• Inspect in-room equipment (including TV, lights/lamps, faucets, and radios) to confirm proper working order, then report all room status and maintenance deficiencies in writing to your direct supervisor for timely repair or resolution.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Complete other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or Secondary qualification, or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, or Wyndham cleaning standards.
• Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, cleaning product use, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to see minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas, and to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
• Upper body strength to lift up to 50 lbs continually throughout an 8 hour shift.
• Dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture during the entire 8 hour shift.
• Ability to work with arms raised above head throughout an 8 hour shift.
• Ability to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart (up to 50 lbs) through hallways and into or out of closets all day.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals on a continual basis.
• Ability to perform prolonged strenuous physical activity in an indoor climate-controlled environment, including dealing with excessive heat and humidity in laundry.
• Strong service mindset and passion for people.
• Strong communication skills when interacting with guests and employees.
• Reading and writing abilities used often for paperwork, and for logging issues, complaints, requests, and information updates.
• Problem-solving, reasoning, and training abilities are used often.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
