Facilities Technician

Pyramid Hotel Group is seeking an onsite Facilities Technician for the Virginia Guesthouse in Charlottesville, VA. This role offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to contribute directly to the upkeep of guest-facing spaces. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on reliable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to support smooth operations and a welcoming stay for guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of facilities trade functions including the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, and tile work, and upkeep of the preventive maintenance program.
• Carry out repairs and preventive as well as general maintenance of the facility's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems consisting of line and control voltage, including appliances, receptacles, switches, lighting, and motors.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and windows, flooring, and related finishes.
• Collaborate with team members to support facilities operations and maintain an engaging attitude.

Requirements

• Experience working in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs such as carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Engaging and welcoming personality.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
