Guest Room Attendant

River City Casino & Hotel is hiring a Guest Room Attendant to help keep guest accommodations and surrounding areas clean, safe, and well maintained. This onsite role in St. Louis, MO focuses on room readiness, careful upkeep of cleaning equipment, and consistent attention to documentation and departmental guidelines.

At this property, the work supports a smooth guest experience through tidy rooms and common areas, proper security practices, and responsive assistance when concerns fall within the role’s authority.

Responsibilities

• Clean hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and designated employee and storage areas as directed.
• Maintain and clean all equipment used during a shift, following directions.
• Complete and maintain proper documentation covering duties accomplished during the working shift, as directed.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance deficiencies to support proper handling.
• Follow all security measures during assigned duties.
• Greet guests throughout the shift using the appropriate salutation and a pleasant expression.
• Assist guests with issues within the scope of authority, working to support guest satisfaction in line with established guidelines and policies.
• Perform duties in a quiet and orderly manner.
• Assist the House Person with department projects as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Six (6) months of previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow direction.
• Ability to clean as directed at an acceptable performance rate.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must be able to operate equipment, including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, cleaning supplies, mop, and broom.
• Ability to minimally communicate and understand in English matters of mutual concern, such as directions, hazards, or questions; if unable to speak or understand English, prior Guest Room Attendant experience is required.
