Job Description

The Heavy-Duty Specialist performs thorough deep cleaning and servicing across kitchen venues, common areas, and hotel guest rooms throughout the Casino Hotel property, following established standards and procedures.

Santa Ana Pueblo, NM (onsite)

Education

High School diploma or GED

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep clean kitchen floors, walls, tables, and ceilings.
  • Clean hood filters and hood ranges.
  • Coordinate equipment disconnect and re-connect tasks for deep cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
  • Deep clean walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Perform simple maintenance of dishwashing machines and compartment sinks to ensure proper working order.
  • Deep clean ceiling tile of the Casino.
  • Deep clean and extract Casino carpets throughout the property.
  • Complete projects such as deep cleaning rooms and hallways, including moving furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
  • Operate light and heavy hotel housekeeping equipment accurately and correctly.
  • Move, distribute, and collect hotel guest room furniture, fixtures, and equipment between the designated warehouse and assigned areas.
  • Use and maintain hotel equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Complete maintenance work orders for sharing with supervisors and management.
  • Accurately complete assigned daily paperwork.
  • Advise management of repairs or supply shortages in assigned areas and maintain accountability for cleanliness and overall condition.
  • Comply with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
  • Use a working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and follow all MSDS safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Training and Preparation

Special training will be required to learn proper procedures for cleaning all kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • Preference given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bi-lingual and multi-cultural experience helpful.
  • Good interpersonal, guest service, and communication skills.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-gaming license.

Work Environment

  • Noise level is usually loud.
  • Duties performed indoors in a climate-controlled non-smoking environment and outdoors during various weather conditions.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Hazards include working around moving equipment; equipment must be properly used to reduce potential hazards.

Additional Information

Special cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety requirements are required as part of daily work performance.
