Hotel Chief Engineer

Manage engineering operations across two seaside properties, ensuring safe, reliable facilities and coordinated maintenance in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of maintenance for property, equipment, grounds, and other assets at both hotels, keeping them in a safe and acceptable state of repair
• Supervise and train Engineering staff across both properties, with focus on Customer Service, Empowerment, Standard Operating Procedures, and Loss Prevention
• Develop and post Engineering staff schedules for both properties
• Handle managerial duties including coaching & counseling and evaluations for Engineering staff
• Design and implement preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment across both locations
• Ensure emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified to required standards at both hotels
• Assist with administration of vendor contracts managed by the Engineering department across both properties
• Ensure room maintenance requests are completed promptly and with courteous service at both hotels
• Respond immediately to alarms by identifying the exact location and cause, determining emergency status, and reporting findings to the Front Desk; take immediate action as needed
• Assist with special projects and renovations at either property as required

• Ability to commute or relocate to the Hyannis, MA area

Compensation

• USD 80,000 - 90,000 per year
