Hotel Housekeeper

Coral Princess Hotel in San Juan, PR is hiring a Hotel Housekeeper to support a welcoming guest experience through consistently high cleanliness standards. This onsite, in-person role focuses on cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces while maintaining sanitation practices that align with hotel safety and quality expectations.

You will be responsible for completing housekeeping tasks with the right equipment and cleaning agents, handling chemicals according to required safety guidance, and providing helpful, prompt service when guests request additional amenities or special cleaning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Complete routine cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and polishing to keep floors and surfaces in excellent condition
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper storage procedures
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of items such as furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies using safe technique to help prevent injury
• Maintain cleanliness by following hotel housekeeping management protocols and sanitation guidelines
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or special cleaning needs with strong customer service and communication
• Carry out routine inspections to ensure compliance with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and operation of cleaning equipment
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling and safety procedures related to sanitation products
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
• Customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Understanding of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, SDS, and hotel emergency procedures effectively

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: USD 11 - 11 per hour
• Pay (listed): $11.50 per hour
• Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
• Work location: In person (onsite)
