Hotel Laundry Attendant

The Hotel Laundry Attendant position supports daily linen care for guest rooms while maintaining a clean and organized laundry area. The role also provides additional assistance to housekeeping and storage upkeep as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with stripping dirty linen from guest rooms as needed.
• Sort linens for the washer and prepare items for laundering.
• Remove stains from badly soiled linen.
• Dispose of linen and terry properly.
• Operate washers and dryers correctly, ensuring the correct chemicals and amounts are used.
• Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized in designated locations.
• Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets in accordance with hotel standards.
• Maintain the laundry area neat and clean.
• Assist housekeepers with room cleanliness when needed.
• Assist with cleaning and upkeep of storage areas.
• Report immediately any damage found in the laundry room or with equipment.
• Notify the Executive Housekeeper of any damage to roll-aways or cribs in rooms.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Wear a provided uniform and nametag at all times on the property.
• Ability to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist the torso to complete required tasks.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements when cleaning and folding.
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.

Compensation & Location

Location: Wilmington, NC (onsite)

Pay: USD 15 per hour
