Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Hotel Angeleno is seeking an onsite Hotel Maintenance Engineer in Los Angeles to support repairs, preventative maintenance, and guest request work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment.
• Respond to and complete guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including problems from distributions to service points.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems including supply, drains, sewer, and storm drain components.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Handle plumbing work orders, including unplugging sinks, working with valves, and replacing parts such as washers, gaskets, vacuum breakers, and toilet seals.
• Perform effectively under pressure, manage time demands, and complete overtime when needed.
• Support general maintenance tasks as needed, including light electrical, drywall, painting, patching, and wallpaper repair.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of high quality building maintenance experience in hospitality or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Hospitality experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and colleagues.
• Physical ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, or carry supplies, equipment, or tools weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and nights.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service-oriented environment; perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines on time.
