Hotel Night Auditor

The Hotel Night Auditor at Comfort Suites Hotel in Houston, TX serves as the primary contact for guests during overnight hours. This onsite role combines front desk service with nightly financial verification, documentation, and coordination with internal teams to support guest safety and an accurate end-of-day close.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and support guests checking in or out during the night shift, maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.
• Complete nightly audits of financial activity by reviewing transactions in the hotel’s property management systems (such as OPERA or comparable platforms).
• Confirm guest account details, process payments, and reconcile daily revenue reporting with accuracy.
• Handle guest questions, requests, and complaints promptly through phone or in person, applying strong customer service and resolution skills.
• Support safety and security by monitoring CCTV, performing patrols in public areas, and following established emergency procedures.
• Maintain complete and detailed records by preparing shift reports, incident logs, and audit documentation for management review.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams to resolve night shift issues and help ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), ideally OPERA or similar hotel management software.
• Strong customer service skills, including effective communication; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and guest relations best practices.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for handling inquiries professionally via phone or in person.
• Ability to resolve customer service issues quickly while maintaining a positive approach under pressure.
• Experience with hospitality reservation systems and property management software is advantageous.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are desirable to support diverse guest needs.
