Hotel Night Auditor

At Texas Hotel Management in Lewisville, TX, the Hotel Night Auditor plays a key role in keeping the property running smoothly after hours. This overnight position combines front desk service with nightly financial accuracy, ensuring reports are prepared and guest needs are handled throughout the shift.

Working onsite, you will complete nightly audits, reconcile transactions, and support safety and communication across departments so morning teams are set up with clear, accurate information.

Role Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for reviewing nightly financial activity, balancing payments, and providing guest-facing service during the overnight shift. The focus is on accounting accuracy, organized reporting, and strong guest service from check-in through overnight support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audits and prepare accurate financial reports for the hotel.
• Balance hotel cash drawers, credit card transactions, and other payments.
• Check in and check out hotel guests efficiently while delivering a welcoming experience.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns during the night shift.
• Monitor hotel security and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain detailed hotel logs and shift reports, communicating important information to morning staff.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to support smooth operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in hospitality or hotel management/accounting preferred.
• Previous experience in a hotel front desk or night audit preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and accounting software.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills for hotel operations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays in a hotel setting.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within a hotel environment.
