House Person

Support the hotel housekeeping team by maintaining clean, organized back-of-house spaces and keeping supplies, equipment, and linens moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Keep storeroom shelves and supply storage areas clean, organized, and easy to access for retrieval and inventory needs
• Clean and organize back-of-house areas, including doors, walls, closets, lockers, refreshment areas, and fixtures
• Assist with cleanliness in public areas when needed, including guest corridors, lobby spaces, public restrooms, and exterior hotel areas
• Retrieve and properly dispose of trash from guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
• When necessary, take ownership to address guest concerns, coordinating with the Housekeeping and Guest Service teams
• Maintain professionalism aligned with hotel brand and company expectations
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; inform and assist guests during emergencies
• Complete additional tasks assigned by hotel leadership as business needs require

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace
• Ability to work 8+ hours per day, with frequent standing and walking during shifts
• Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday

Compensation: USD 17 per hour

Location: Ann Arbor, MI (onsite)
