Housekeeper/ Room Attendant

Apex Hotel Group in Macon, GA is hiring a Housekeeper/Room Attendant to help keep guest rooms and public spaces clean, comfortable, and ready for visitors. This onsite role supports guest satisfaction through careful cleaning, restocking, laundry work, and timely reporting of any maintenance or safety concerns.

Role Overview

As a Housekeeper/Room Attendant, you will follow established cleaning procedures while using appropriate agents and equipment for different surfaces and floors. Your work helps create a hygienic environment for both guests and staff, with a focus on quality and consistency throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet high cleanliness standards
• Restock amenities such as toiletries, linens, towels, and other supplies so guest needs are handled promptly
• Maintain public area cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors in hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and common spaces
• Complete laundry duties efficiently, including washing, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing as needed
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to support a safe and well-maintained property
• Use established cleaning procedures and the right cleaning agents and tools for various surfaces and floor types
• Follow health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning tasks to support a hygienic environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or a hospitality-related role is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning
• Previous hotel or industrial cleaning experience is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality custodial service
• Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move comfortably throughout shifts
• Knowledge of housekeeping management practices is advantageous, with a willingness to learn required
