Job Description
Sevierville, TN (onsite) role supporting housekeeping operations and Guest Services call handling at Wilderness Hotel and Resort Inc.
Responsibilities
- Assist Room Attendants and Inspectors by transporting clean and dirty linens
- Conduct storage closet inventories and re-stock supplies as required
- Assist with room support tasks, including stripping bed linen and removing trash
- Sort dirty linen and terry; store in separate carts (metros) and transport to the basement
- Move clean towels and linens from the basement to the store houseman closet as needed
- Maintain the houseman closet clean, free of trash, and organized; complete daily check list duties
- Deliver items to rooms when requested through the front desk (example items include irons and extra linens)
- Pick up and return items used by previous guests that are found in rooms or hallways
- Keep the floor clear of trash and dirty lines and towels; wipe spills as needed
- Use provided chemicals according to directions; review material safety data sheets and use PPE (personal protective equipment) as necessary
- Practice safety procedures including safe bending, lifting, and equipment use; follow procedures for protection against blood borne pathogens
- Report hazardous conditions in the work area or equipment to Management
- Document, secure, and turn in lost and found items to Lost & Found in accordance with Company policy
- Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Complete the required form as soon as possible when discovering damage to property in rooms or items missing from room inventory; submit to the Manager
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Answer incoming calls from Guest Services and complete related requests
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Language Skills
- (Level 2) Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
Mathematical Skills
- (Level 1) Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
Reasoning Ability
- (Level 2) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical Demands and Activities
